CADMIUM SALTS

Associated with Cadmium Oxide,  Cadmium Powder is used for manufacturing batteries and high-performance rechargeable accumulators used in the aeronautical and railway industries, electric chargers, portable wireless tools, telephone relays, gas meters and emergency lighting.

The plastics and ceramics industry also uses yellow or red pigments containing Cadmium salts for their resistance to high temperatures.
